Hellenic WPL Win the Challenge Cup

Hellenic Athletic Club’s Women’s Premier League side have claimed the 2025 Challenge Cup after a thrilling 2–1 comeback win over Mindil Aces on Saturday night.

Mindil struck early to take the lead, but it didn’t take long for Sophia Makrylos to draw things level with a composed finish — continuing her standout season. Jazzmin Forword then stepped up and buried a sensational free kick to give Hellenic the lead.

From there, it was a collective effort. The team defended with grit and saw out the match to secure the win and lift the trophy.

It’s the latest highlight in what’s been a dominant season for Hellenic’s WPL side, who remain undefeated in league competition and continue to set the standard for women’s football in the Territory.
